These fellowships are awarded to the students with skills and research interests that are most compatible with Mechanical Engineering faculty at IUPUI. Applicants are strongly encouraged to clarify and explain their interest in the research activities of specific Mechanical Engineering faculty when completing the application packet.

There is no separate application for financial assistance. The application packet evaluates candidates for both admission and financial aid opportunities. Admission to the graduate programs and awards of financial aid are highly competitive. The department evaluates applications and credentials for financial aid from the applicant pool at various times when resources become available, but apply early for the fullest consideration. You are further encouraged to contact faculty members in specific research areas of interest to you.
