Technical Communication
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree – 120 credit hours

The BS degree in Technical Communication requires 120 credit hours. All courses that count toward the major must be completed with a grade of C or better. All General Education Common Core (GECC) requirements should be completed within the first two years of the degree. 

Admission Requirements to the Technical Communication Bachelor of Science Degree

  • English W131 – Elementary Composition 1
  • Comm R110 – Fundamentals of Speech Communication
  • 3 credit hours of College Mathematics above Math M-11100
  • TCM 23000 – Principles and Practices of Technical Communication (enrolled in or completed)
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA

Technical Communication Bachelor of Science Degree Requirements for Graduation

  • 60 hours of technical communication and related courses 
  • 18 hours of science, technology, engineering, and math electives 
  • 30 hours of general education core courses
  • 12 hours of related electives 
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA
